Mega-complex Family houses four bars/clubs under one umbrella. Today from 4pm, two reopened: Saloon Karaoke Bar and gorgeous open-air venue the Secret Garden bar. On their social media Family Bar reminded patrons: “we are under Alert Level 2 so you will need to take a seat and we will come to you. Please sign in at the door for contact tracing purposes and keep your distance from others. Its gonna be a little different. Have fun Be Patient. Respect others. Due to restrictions stating that bar patrons must be seated and receive table service. Family’s main bar and DownUnder Nightclub is currently due to reopen at Level One.

G.A.Y Bar – 262 Karangahape Road, Auckland.

Due to restrictions stating that bar patrons must be seated and receive table service G.A.Y Bar is currently due to reopen at Level One… with a huge homecoming party! Watch this space.
 

The Eagle Bar – 259 Karangahape Road, Auckland.

Across the road from Family, Eagle Bar opened it’s doors at midday today, pointing out to their Facebook followers, “Due to our limited seating we will only be able to seat around 30-40 people at once, so we recommend giving us a call before you want to come down to check we have space. We will also have a QR code at the door to scan before entry. Bear with us, we will be learning as we go. Can’t wait to see all your beautiful faces!”

Bamboo Tiger – 335 Karangahape Road, Auckland.

Our favourite K-Road Cocktail Bar Bamboo Tiger will reopen with a bang at 8pm tonight. Bringing live music back to the city with singer Verity Burgess accompanied by Ben Fernandez on piano offering a mix of Jazz, Latin, R and B and Pop Classics. Pop along and help support live music and musicians. Entry free!

S&M’s – Scotty and Mals Cocktail and Lounge Bar – 176 Cuba Street, Te Aro, Wellington.

S&M’s reopened at 5pm today. On their social media they told followers, “Once all chairs are full we have to stop allowing entry, it then becomes one in one out, so perhaps alter your ‘going out’ times to ensure entry. Things will be a little different for a while, but you will still get the same great service and fabulous drinks – all hugs will be virtual
We look forward to welcoming you back from Thursday xox”

Ivy Bar & Cabaret – 63 Cuba Street, Te Aro, Wellington.

Ivy will open it’s doors from 7pm tomorrow and will celebrate with performances across the night from Selina Simone.
