Held at the Hilton Hotel, with stunning views of Auckland Harbour as the backdrop to the event, the theme for 2015’s auction was ‘Buoys & Gals.’ Captained by Olympic speed skater Blake Skjellerup, this year’s auction raised over $31,000 for the GABA Charitable Trust. An eclectic range of gifts and services were put under the hammer, including a five night getaway in Vanuatu, champagne, whiskey, artwork, luxury sports cars, and a advertising package in express magazine – which was won by Grey Lynn Tyreworx for the absolute bargain price of $540!
