Exciting times for Ponsonby Road with the arrival of newcomer, Saan. We haven’t had a chance to get there yet but the fact that it’s a Lanna (Northern) and Isaan (North Eastern) Thai restaurant and it’s got the owners of Cafe Hanoi behind it is enough for us. Chef Lek Trirattanavatin received his formal training at Thailand’s premier culinary institute, Dusit Thani Palace College, and has devised a menu divided up into street snacks, small dishes, larger dishes and desserts.
