Lil O’Brien’s ‘Kiwi girl’s coming out and coming of age’ novel launched in Auckland at The Tuesday Club. O’Brien spent two years telling her coming-out story as a part of Rainbow Youth’s high-school education programme, which inspired her to write her memoir and first published book, Not That I’d Kiss a Girl which is available now through Allen & Unwin, in all good book shops including Ponsonby Road’s The Women’s Bookshop which co-hosted this event.
