The Rainbow New Zealand Charitable Trust have announced they have secured $21500 in sponsorship funding for New Zealand’s first-ever GiveOUT Day.

GiveOUT Day, happening on Thursday, October 19, is a day where people can go onto the GiveOUT Day website and donate directly to their favourite Rainbow Charity. Your donations are then matched dollar for dollar by their generous sponsors.

Thanks to Kiwibank, Southern Cross Health Insurance (both Silver Sponsors), PWC (Bronze Sponsor), Aurecon and Microsoft, GiveOUT Day has reached this fantastic sum.

‘We are delighted with this amount”, says Gresham Bradley, “Although GiveOUT Day  has a great track record overseas, it’s our first year trying it as the Trust’s primary source of funding for our Grant’s and we are just blown away by the response we have had from these corporate sponsors.”

“Now we just need the community to come on board and donate on the day to ensure we maximise this corporate funding available to our charities,” says Bradley.

GiveOUT Day is being launched with a glittering event at Phoenix Cabaret on K Road the evening of Wednesday, 19 October, featuring shows, food and a fundraising auction.

“None of this would be possible without our community supporters Caluzzi Cabaret and, of course, express Magazine!” says Steven Oates, MC on the night and Rainbow Trust board member.
