Sam Smith revealed that Ed Sheeran purchased a 6-foot “marble penis” for them, which had to be “craned into their house”.
Smith’s revelation came during an interview with Kelly Clarkson on her daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Speaking with Clarkson, Smith explained that they received the NSFW present from Ed Sheeran out of the blue and explained that they initially thought the gift was a “joke” until it a crane turned up for delivery.
“It’s actually wild; I thought it was a joke,’ Smith said.
“It’s a 6’2” marble penis. It’s two tons. I have to get it craned into my house.”
Clarkson, who appeared super curious and interested in the bizarre gift, asked what Smith intended to do with the giant statue.
“I want to turn it into a fountain, which I think will be hard to do,” Smith responded, prompting laughter from Clarkson and her audience.
Smith elaborated that Sheeran has a history of giving “people concrete penises” and explained that they’re “not the first” person to receive a memorable status.
Elton John also revealed in August 2021 that Sheeran had gifted a giant penis statue to him for his birthday, adding that Sheeran and John often “play tricks on each other.”
“I don’t know if that’s because I’ve always been a prick or what,” John quipped. “It’s really big, it’s beautifully made, but it’s solid marble.”
John added that the “beautifully made penis” is hidden in an area of his house where his children can’t catch a glimpse of it.
