Delivering on his promise to return to Aotearoa, Elton John has also confirmed the addition of a new show in Christchurch this coming January for his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.

The rescheduled kiwi-leg of the tour, which is part of Elton’s incredible, multi-year Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, will see the gay-icon perform two shows in Auckland and a final ‘encore’ performance for Christchurch – Elton’s first show in the city in over three decades, and the first international stadium concert in the South Island in nearly four years!

Elton initially embarked on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in September 2018. The multi-year itinerary comprised over 300 shows across five continents and has been hailed by fans and critics worldwide, leaving audiences spellbound with a genuinely daring and intimate celebration of an incredible 50-year career.

Elton will perform at Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium on Friday, 27 and Saturday, 28 January, 2023.

Elton’s Christchurch show will take place on Tuesday, 24 January, at Orangetheory Stadium, Christchurch.
