Former Olympian and unsuccessful Republican candidate Caitlyn Jenner has joined forces with Charles Moran, president of Log Cabin Republicans, in an Instagram video criticizing the “rainbow mafia.”
In the video, Jenner and Moran discussed their disdain for the “radical rainbow mafia,” a term often used by Jenner to disparage the LGBTQ+ community.
Jenner claimed, “Honestly, [the rainbow mafia] is destroying the entire LGBT community.”
“It is putting freedom at risk in this country in a way we have never seen,” Moran added, to which Jenner agreed, saying, “Freedom at risk, I love that.”

The Log Cabin Republicans, founded in 1977 in California, is the largest Republican group in the United States representing LGBTQ+ conservatives and allies.
The video was posted shortly after Jenner appeared on Fox News to criticize potential changes to Title IX by the Biden administration, a civil rights law prohibiting sex-based discrimination in schools.
The proposed amendments could prevent blanket bans on trans-student-athletes, allowing schools to “justify” barring trans children from playing sports in some instances.
The Department of Education’s factsheet explains that elementary school children would “generally” be allowed to participate in sports consistent with their gender identity, while high school and college trans students could be banned if “justifiable,” such as for reasons of “fairness.” The proposed changes are open for public comment.
Jenner, however, accused President Biden of attempting to “erase women” and “erase women in sports” during her Fox News interview. She argued that if Biden’s proposals pass, “it’ll be the end of women’s sports.”

Caitlyn Jenner, who rose to fame as part of the Kardashian and Jenner family and came out as a trans woman in 2015 and has a history of criticizing the LGBTQ+ community and supporting legislation that removes queer people’s rights.
She has also expressed support for banning trans individuals, especially trans women, from sports, despite having competed in a women’s golf tournament herself.
Jenner ran against California Governor Gavin Newsom in the recall election last year but only received 1% of votes for replacement candidates.
