Amongst information about its opening hours, Dunedin’s only gay sauna Bodyworks has dedicated most of its website’s homepage to anti-trans messaging and stories from right-wing news sites and commentators.
Included on the home page is a screenshot of an email enquiring if two trans men can rent a private room, which shows the sauna’s owner replying that “this business strongly opposes the gender ideology that has spawned aggressive trans activism…”
Scrolling further down the home page the website shows support for local Dunedin artists and anti-trans activist Posie Parker’s visit to New Zealand.
