Big crowds of spectators lined the streets to watch the Wellington Pride Parade (WPP), the city’s first Pride parade in four years.
2024’s offering featured a colourful mix of 30 groups participating including Wellington Mayor Tory Whanau (pictured with drag queen Rhubarb Rouge).
Organisers of the Wellington Pride Parade hope to grow the event further following an enthusiastic response from Wellington’s wider community to the 2024 parade.
A street party on Cuba Street followed, DJed by Jimmy Fade and MC’d by Rhubarb Rouge.
