Celebrate the arrival of spring and join Auckland Museum for the highly anticipated return of Auckland’s most beloved singles event, Mingle at the Museum. This year, Auckland Museum is thrilled to introduce a special Pride Edition for our LGBTTQIA+ communities to join in on the Mingle magic.
A DJ will be spinning the decks to set the mood, and your first drink is on us as you arrive at the Museum’s stunning south atrium, Te Ao Mārama.
Hosting the night with glam, glitter, and a whole lot of hairspray will be our fabulous drag queen, Miss Geena. She’ll keep the evening rolling along with witty repartee and a large serving of sauce. Place yourself in Miss Geena’s capable hands, and she’ll lead you in the right direction (or completely astray).
This event features many activities to meet new people during the evening. Take part in our informal ‘carbon dating’, where you can show off your artistic talent (or lack thereof) with a pencil, our ‘double-ish dating’ for small groups, and ‘potluck speed dating’, where you can enjoy multiple mini-chats over an hour. On the night, sign up for a Rainbow tour of our Tāmaki Herenga Waka galleries, where we shine a light on LGBTTQIA+ stories that are integral to the past, present and future of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
