French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati, whose hopes of Olympic glory were dashed when his bulge dislodged the bar during the Paris 2024 qualifiers, has reportedly received a $250,000 offer to join an adult website.

The incident occurred during the Olympics qualifying round on 3 August, where Ammirati’s genitals clipped the bar, causing it to fall and resulting in his 15th place finish.

The mishap sparked a flurry of reactions, with some suggesting that the athlete “call a drag queen” to learn how to “tuck”—a technique often used by drag queens and trans individuals to create a smoother appearance under clothing.

TMZ Sports reported that CamSoda, a porn site, has since extended an offer to Ammirati. Daryn Parker, the company’s vice president, stated, “If it was up to me, I’d award you for what everyone else saw, your talent below the belt.” Parker continued, “As a lover of crotch-centric activities, I’d love to offer you up to $250,000 in exchange for a 60-minute webcam show, in which you show off your goods, minus the crossbar, of course.”

Following the incident, Ammirati spoke to the French Athletics Federation about his performance, expressing his disappointment but refraining from discussing the mishap in detail. “It’s a big disappointment,” he admitted. “I’m a bit gutted because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70m. What I did miss was a bit of jumping in training to fine-tune the settings. Just a technical session.”

He added, “I was 100 per cent physically ready. The conditions were good. It’s the first time I’ve started a competition without any stress. As a total outsider, I only had one goal: to play with the public. I was almost there.”
