Pop music fans have long speculated about a sequel to Lady Gaga’s iconic Telephone music video—and now, it looks like we might finally have an answer.

In a recent Vanity Fair “Lie Detector Test” interview, Gaga hinted that the story may not be over just yet.

When asked if there would be a continuation of her The Fame Monster era video for Telephone, Gaga simply responded, “Yes.” However, when pressed for a timeline, the Abracadabra singer admitted she wasn’t sure when it would happen. As for whether Beyoncé would be involved? Gaga teasingly answered, “Maybe.”

The moment quickly went viral after being shared by Pop Crave, reigniting excitement among Little Monsters and the Beyhive—who have been waiting for a follow-up since the 2010 video’s dramatic “To Be Continued” ending.

A Legacy of Pop Excellence

Released 15 years ago, Telephone became a global smash hit, with Gaga and Beyoncé forming one of pop music’s most iconic duos. The track earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, along with wins at the ASCAP and BMI Pop Music Awards.

Its cinematic music video, inspired by Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction*, was nominated for three MTV Video Music Awards, including Video of the Year, and was later named Billboard’s Best Video of the Decade.

With Gaga confirming the story isn’t over, the question remains: Will Beyoncé return for the sequel? Fans will just have to wait and see.
