WorldPride DC 2025 has officially announced that Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winner Cynthia Erivo will headline the highly anticipated Saturday Night Street Festival and Concert on June 7, 2025.
The free, two-day event, set to take place on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of attendees from around the world in celebration of LGBTQ+ pride and unity.
Performing against the striking backdrop of the U.S. Capitol, Erivo’s set will serve as the grand finale to the day’s iconic parade, promising an emotional and powerful moment for the global LGBTQ+ community. Known for her immense talent and dedication to advocacy, Erivo has long been a champion for LGBTQ+ rights and inclusion.
“As the culminating event for the parade, the Saturday night concert will be an extraordinary moment of unity, celebration, and visibility for our global LGBTQ+ community,” said Ryan Bos, Executive Director of the Capital Pride Alliance, which is hosting WorldPride DC 2025. “Cynthia Erivo’s powerful artistry and unwavering advocacy make her the perfect artist to headline this momentous event.”
A Celebration of Music, Activism, and Community
Erivo, a celebrated performer with three Academy Award nominations, has made her mark in music, theatre, and film. Her WorldPride DC 2025 performance will not only showcase her artistic brilliance but also highlight her commitment to social justice and LGBTQ+ rights.
The WorldPride Street Festival and Concert will span June 7-8, 2025, featuring an exciting lineup of international stars, local LGBTQ+ artists, DJs, and performers. Alongside Erivo’s headline performance, attendees can expect a vibrant array of entertainment, including artisan markets, interactive exhibits, and food and beverage gardens, creating an inclusive and joyful atmosphere.

Running from noon to 10:00 p.m. on both days, the festival will take over Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, between 9th and 3rd Streets. The weekend’s celebrations will culminate in a Closing Night Concert on Sunday, June 8, featuring a to-be-announced lineup of marquee artists alongside emerging LGBTQ+ and allied performers.
