The highly anticipated trailer for Wednesday season two dropped on 23 April, sending the internet into a frenzy, and much of the attention has been directed at Hunter Doohan’s steamy return.
Towards the end of the preview for the quirky Addams Family spinoff, fans were treated to glimpses of Doohan reprising his role as “normie” Tyler and transforming into his darker Hyde form.
Netflix also released a set of first-look images, including one particularly striking photo of Doohan shirtless and wearing a collar, which has generated a lot of online buzz.
One fan exclaimed on X/Twitter: “Hunter Doohan, the man you are.” Meanwhile, over on YouTube, a commenter speculated: “I think he was working out for the part in Daredevil: Born Again,” referencing Doohan’s upcoming role as Muse in the Disney+ series.
Instagram users were equally vocal, with one asking, “Will you ever find your shirt? The real plot of season two,” while others declared him “the most handsome Hyde” and gushed that he’s “back and steamier than ever.”
Fans also got a sneak peek of Wednesday visiting Tyler in the asylum where he’s been held following the events of season one.
Jenna Ortega, who stars as Wednesday Addams, has previously hinted that the upcoming season will “lean into the horror aspect of the show a little bit more,” which could be disappointing for those hoping for a rekindled romance between Wednesday and Tyler.
Wednesday Season Two will be released in two parts: the first part is expected to arrive on August 6, followed by the second on September 3.
