Pop sensation and rising queer icon Reneé Rapp is the latest star to join the high-profile lineup for this year’s WorldPride Music Festival, set to light up Washington, D.C. on June 6 and 7.

The announcement adds Rapp — known for her powerhouse vocals and Sapphic anthems — to a bill already packed with global LGBTQ+ favourites including Jennifer Lopez, Troye Sivan, Kim Petras, RuPaul, Zedd, and more.

Fresh off her emotionally charged single “Leave Me Alone,” Rapp continues to cement her dual reputation as both a pop force and a voice for queer empowerment. The Mean Girls movie musical star, who also won hearts in The Sex Lives of College Girls, is behind hits like “It’s Not My Fault” and “Talk Too Much.”

“Pride is everything. It is protection, it is visibility, it is intersectional, but most importantly, it is a celebration of existence and protest,” Rapp told PRIDE in an exclusive statement.

Rapp’s presence will extend beyond the music stage — she’s also been named one of the grand marshals for the WorldPride Parade on June 7, helping to lead what’s expected to be one of the most powerful pride celebrations in U.S. history.

The WorldPride Music Festival, produced by Dreamland’s Jake Resnicow in partnership with Capital Pride and D.C.’s Club Glow, is being hailed as more than just a concert — it’s a cultural statement.

“This is more than a music festival. It’s a movement,” said Resnicow. “We’re proud to spotlight Reneé and so many incredible queer artists on our main stage.”

The festival is also making a meaningful impact: Dreamland has pledged over $100,000 to the nonprofit Capital Pride Alliance, and over 2,500 complimentary tickets have been set aside for local LGBTQ+ individuals and organisations who might otherwise be unable to attend.

With tickets nearly sold out, excitement is building ahead of the two-day event at the RFK Festival Grounds in Washington, D.C. For details and availability, visit the official WorldPride Music Festival website.
