Vivian Jenna Wilson, the 21-year-old transgender daughter of Elon Musk and Justine Wilson, made a bold and unapologetic drag debut at “SAVE HER,” an immigrant legal defence fundraiser hosted in Los Angeles on 13 June.

Performing under her drag persona Vivllainous, Wilson lit up the stage with an empowering message of identity, solidarity, and resistance.

The event, hosted by renowned drag queen and activist Pattie Gonia, took place at The Bellwether in LA, just minutes from ongoing protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). All proceeds from the show were directed towards immigrant legal defence funds.

Vivllainous stunned the crowd with a lip-sync performance of “Wasted Love” by Austrian musician JJ, wearing a sleek black bodysuit, structured translucent corset, and futuristic makeup by fellow performer Noxxia Datura. The performance also featured her waving a transgender pride flag—a moment that resonated powerfully with the crowd.

The lineup included an array of queer artists such as Vera!, Nini Coco, Jacob Ostler, Skirt Cocaine, Noxxia Datura, and Trudy Tective. Video clips from the night, shared by Out magazine and reposted by Wilson, highlighted her dramatic stage presence and striking flexibility, complete with a cheeky Instagram caption: “Help, why am I shaped like an e?”

The fundraiser took place against the backdrop of growing national protests against ICE’s controversial tactics and the Trump administration’s use of the National Guard to suppress dissent. Many critics argue these actions disproportionately impact marginalised groups and violate due process.

“We feel like now more than ever, there’s more hateful s**t in this world,” Pattie Gonia told Out. “When the problem seems so big, what we do is get local and get to work.”

She added, “Now is a very tough time to be different in this world. Tough time to be queer. But let’s not forget that we’ve been here before. And what’s gonna get us through, time and time again, is love and community—and some really good f**king weed.”

The drag show took place one day before the No Kings Protests, a wave of national demonstrations challenging the Trump administration’s suppression of dissent, its stance on Gaza, and attempts to deny civil rights to transgender people.
