Auckland’s Galatos was heaving on Saturday, 12 July, as URGE Events delivered its steamiest edition yet of Locker Room, the annual fundraiser to support the New Zealand Falcons Rugby Team as they gear up to host the prestigious Purchase Cup this September in Tāmaki Makaurau.

The dress code? Think sweaty locker room meets queer fantasy: rugby shirts, wrestling singlets, jockstraps, short shorts, and cheeky gymwear dominated the dancefloor. Attendees didn’t just show up—they turned up, decked out and ready to celebrate sport, queerness, and community in full throttle style.

Banging beats from DJs Pauly, James Leuii, and Torrance DJs turned Galatos into a high-energy stadium of sound. Meanwhile, live performances kept the heat rising. The Falcons delivered cheeky strip shows with their trademark mix of charm and cheek, while Riley and Tia Bear brought serious go-go boy fantasy to life. Drag royalty Miss Jacqui Sack and Beverly Hills gave the crowd iconic performances that had everyone screaming.

More than just a party, Locker Room was a celebration of sport, solidarity, and sexy fun—all in support of an incredible kaupapa. With the Purchase Cup just around the corner, every ticket bought and dollar raised pushes the Falcons closer to making this event a proud moment for queer sport in Aotearoa.
