The first-ever Drag Race Down Under vs The World is officially on its way to WOW Presents Plus, with Michelle Visage stepping into the role of host and lead judge.
The All Stars-style spin-off will see queens from Australia and New Zealand battle it out against returning Drag Race stars from around the globe, in a format similar to RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World and Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs The World.
Visage will be joined on the judging panel by comedian Rhys Nicholson and Lazy Susan, winner of Drag Race Down Under season four.
World of Wonder co-founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato teased an unforgettable season in a joint statement:
“We couldn’t be more excited to expand the Drag Race legacy. We are going totally glocal as local legends face off against global icons. Down Under vs the World promises a season packed with unfiltered moments, fashion, and lip syncs that will leave no lash unglued.”
The announcement marks a major milestone for the Down Under franchise as it joins the international “Versus” line-up of Drag Race global competitions.
