Rapper Lil Nas X (real name Montero Hill) has been formally charged with four felonies following his arrest and hospitalisation in Los Angeles last week.
In the early hours of Thursday, August 21, police responded to reports of a naked man wandering a city street. Officers later confirmed the man to be the Grammy-winning artist.
According to police, Lil Nas X allegedly “charged at officers” before being restrained, thrown to the ground, and taken to hospital on suspicion of a possible drug overdose.
Charges filed
Court documents from the Los Angeles Superior Court reveal Lil Nas X is now facing:
- Three counts of battery against a police officer
- One count of resisting an executive officer
He is currently being held without bail, with an arraignment scheduled in Van Nuys, where a judge will determine whether bail will be set.
The arrest and subsequent charges come amid growing concern for the 25-year-old’s health after erratic behaviour captured on video went viral last week.
