About Ethel Cain

The creative moniker of Florida-born artist Hayden Anhedönia, Ethel Cain crafts deeply emotional Southern Gothic narratives exploring love, heartbreak, and survival. Her newly released album Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You — a prequel to her celebrated 2022 debut Preacher’s Daughter — tells the poignant story of her first love, set in the sweltering atmosphere of a Southern summer.

The record, written throughout her career and recorded in Alabama, Pennsylvania, and Florida, has been praised by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Cut, The Face, and Stereogum.

Following sold-out runs in North America and Europe, where she moved over 170,000 tickets and performed at venues like Radio City Music Hall, L’Olympia, and Eventim Apollo, Cain is bringing her music to Oceania. Beyond her recordings, she has graced the runways of New York and Paris Fashion Weeks and collaborated with Florence + the Machine, Mitski, Givenchy, Miu Miu, and Calvin Klein.

For her LGBTQ+ fans, Cain’s art serves as a beacon of representation, celebrating authenticity, resilience, and self-expression on a global stage.
