Drag Race UK Season Seven Unveils Star-Studded Line-Up of Guest Judges

The wait for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season seven is nearly over — and the BBC has begun teasing fans with the reveal of this year’s celebrity guest judges.

Twelve new queens will battle it out for the crown of the UK’s Next Drag Race Superstar. The line-up, announced in late August, includes Catrin Feelings, Tayris Mongardi, Sally TM, Silllexa Diction, Pasty, Nyongbella, Paige Three, Elle Vosque, Viola, Chai T Grande, Bonnie Ann Clyde, and Bones.

As always, RuPaul will return to oversee the competition, joined at the judging panel by long-time collaborators Michelle Visage, Alan Carr, and Graham Norton.

On Wednesday (3 September), the BBC began unveiling the first celebrity guest judges who will sit alongside them throughout the season.

Kicking things off was comedian and presenter Joel Dommett, returning for another stint behind the panel. His announcement drew mixed but lively fan reactions, ranging from season six winner Kyran Thrax’s enthusiastic “Phwoaaaar” to one follower’s quip: “This feels very hetero.”

Next up was writer and comedian Michelle de Swarte, making her Drag Race UK debut. The bisexual former model’s addition was met with fanfare online, with responses like “YES” and “LOOOOVE.”

Pop fans rejoiced at the return of Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle. While she previously appeared on the show during season three’s Snatch Game, this will mark her first time as a guest judge. One fan summed up the sentiment with: “So iconic!”

The roll call continued with Absolutely Fabulous star Jane Horrocks, also making her debut, followed by Derry Girls actress Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, West End powerhouse Mazz Murray, and Enola Holmes star Susan Wokoma.

Other names announced include choreographer Claudimar Neto, DJ Jordan North, and Sugababes singer Mutya Buena.

An official premiere date for season seven has yet to be confirmed, though past instalments typically launch in September and run weekly through late November — suggesting fans won’t have much longer to wait.
