Why It Matters
- No judgement, just care: Test’n’Treat creates a safer space, especially for LGBTQI+, trans, and non-binary people who may not feel comfortable in mainstream clinics.
- Many STIs have no symptoms: Testing regularly helps catch and treat issues early — before they cause long-term harm.
- STIs are treatable: From antibiotics to PrEP, sexual health care is about staying ahead, not reacting in crisis.
Who Should Drop In?
You should consider visiting if you:
- Are sexually active — especially with casual or multiple partners
- Have symptoms (discharge, pain, sores, bleeding, etc.)
- Have had a partner test positive for an STI
- Want to start or learn about PrEP/PEP/DoxyPEP
- Just want regular, respectful sexual health check-ups
What to Expect
- No appointment needed — just walk in.
- You’ll be welcomed by a peer worker, fill out a short form, and collect your sample (urine or swab).
- You’ll get instant HIV/syphilis results; others (like chlamydia or gonorrhoea) are sent via text — usually same-day.
- If anything comes back positive, Body Positive will support you with free treatment, follow-up testing, and peer support — all with confidentiality and care.
