Queer Eye’s food and lifestyle expert Antoni Porowski is starting off the year with a bold new look — starring in a promotional campaign for underwear brand SAXX that sees him modelling boxer briefs and briefs while sharing elements of his daily routine.
In the campaign video, Porowski — best known for his role on Netflix’s long‑running reality series — is shown making coffee and preparing a snack, dressed only in his underwear. As he discusses how he chooses different underwear “based on how I feel,” he also shares his approach to simple meals.
“Sometimes it’s eating something too,” Porowski says. “Anything that is home cooked for me, it can genuinely be burnt toast with good quality butter — I’ll be genuinely thrilled. It sounds woo‑woo but when there’s that intention and that love in it you taste it in the food.”
Porowski also touches on life after Queer Eye, emphasising his focus on mindfulness and being intentional about the projects he accepts.
“I’m trying to just be a little more mindful and intentional with the things I take on,” he says.
Fan Reactions
Social media quickly lit up with reactions to the campaign. One fan commented, “I’ll have what he’s cookin’,” while another wrote, “Good lord that body and those sultry eyes!” Countless fire emojis underscored the excitement and attraction felt by many viewers.
SAXX Statement & Gamechangers Programme
In a statement, SAXX said the campaign reflects a shared goal between the brand and Porowski: helping men feel “cool, confident, and completely comfortable in their own skin.”
Porowski has also joined SAXX’s Gamechangers programme, an initiative designed to spotlight men across different professions who are making an impact in their fields.
Queer Eye Season 10 and Cast Drama
The campaign arrives as Queer Eye’s tenth and final season premiered on 21 January, but the launch has been clouded by recent off‑camera drama.
Culture expert Karamo Brown withdrew from media interviews the day before the premiere, citing the need to protect his “mental health and peace.” Brown said he had been “mentally and emotionally abused for years.”
Porowski later reacted on social media, calling the situation surprising and posting a captioned update:
“When life hands u lemons, u make some thyme and rosemary infused lemonade.”
When a fan suggested the dispute made the show seem “fake,” Porowski responded thoughtfully:
“A lot of us come from complicated families and still have jobs and positive things we’re passionate about. Authenticity is about being honest about the complexities of life and knowing two things can exist at the same time.”
Ongoing Feuds
This latest controversy follows the 2023 departure of interior design expert Bobby Berk after Season 8. A 2024 Rolling Stone investigation also highlighted tensions within the show’s production.
Recent reports from TMZ indicate that Porowski and fellow cast members Darren Criss and Tan France allegedly reignited tensions with Brown by criticising his “lifestyle choices” on set during filming for Season 10 — comments reportedly overheard by Brown’s mother.
