Auckland’s most dazzling celebration of love, inclusion, and diversity is making its triumphant return to Ponsonby! The Auckland Rainbow Parade is back and bolder than ever, inviting everyone to join in a vibrant evening of unity, colour, and joy.
In a world where division and discrimination often take centre stage, the Rainbow Parade stands as a bold beacon of what’s possible when communities come together in love and solidarity.
From glittering costumes to sky-high energy, the Rainbow Parade is a must-attend celebration for LGBTQ+ communities and allies alike. It’s a place where every colour of the rainbow is embraced, every identity is seen, and every voice is welcome.
Parade Event Manager Shaughan Woodcock shares the spirit of the night:
“This is one of the most colourful parades in Auckland, and in a world that seems to be becoming more divided, there’s something special when you bring everyone together to celebrate love and kindness. It’s a vibrant spectacle that has something for everyone and it is well worth celebrating!”
The streets will come alive with music, performances, drag artistry, and flair as the parade kicks off at 7:30pm from Tole Street, culminating at Western Park around 9:30pm. But don’t wait until dark — the pre-parade street entertainment starts at 5:30pm, bursting with sparkle, big hair, and non-stop beats to get the party started.

Expect a fabulous display of representation, with floats and groups from across the LGBTQ+ spectrum, public services, and corporate allies all stepping up to champion diversity with heart and humour.
So, whether you’re a long-time supporter or a first-time attendee, get your glitter on, wave your flags, and bring the whānau — because this parade is one moment of pure joy you won’t want to miss.
7.30pm, Saturday 21 February 2026 — The Auckland Rainbow Parade, Ponsonby Road.
