Andrew Tate Responds to Louis Theroux Manosphere Documentary

Louis Theroux’s latest documentary, Inside the Manosphere, has sparked widespread conversation since its release, offering a deep dive into online male influencer culture and the dynamics of toxic masculinity — including figures such as Andrew Tate.

The 90-minute film sees Theroux, known for his immersive approach to complex and controversial topics, engaging with a range of internet personalities to explore their views on masculinity, relationships, gender roles and power.

While Tate declined to take part in the documentary, he has since responded publicly — directing criticism at fellow influencer Sneako, who does appear in the film.

Sneako features alongside creators including Harrison Sullivan (HSTikkyTokky), Myron Gaines, Ed Matthews and Justin Waller. Throughout the documentary, Theroux examines their perspectives and online personas, prompting mixed reactions from those involved.

Following its release, some participants have pushed back on how they were portrayed. HSTikkyTokky reportedly wiped his Instagram after speaking out, while Myron Gaines accused Theroux of misleading audiences.

Tensions escalated further when Tate posted a video criticising Sneako, making claims about his former friend’s past and suggesting he had expressed curiosity about his sexuality.

“He started saying, ‘Isn’t it normal just to try new things? Don’t you think it is normal to be curious?’” Tate said in the clip.

“How do you know if you are really gay or not unless you try it?”

Tate added that he distanced himself after the conversation.

The situation intensified as alleged images and clips from Sneako’s past circulated online, with some users claiming they pointed to a “gay porn past.” One resurfaced clip shows Sneako discussing a period in his youth where he questioned his sexuality.

“When I was like 14, I thought I was gay, and I watched gay porn,” he said in the video. “It’s not for me… I know that I am not gay.”

Sneako has since responded, disputing many of the circulating claims. In a video statement, he alleged that several of the images were either fake or taken out of context, including private photos he said were shared with a girlfriend when he was a teenager.

“I already know what the tactic is going to be,” he said. “He’s going to bring up clips… where we were joking… about whether or not you’ve ever thought of being gay. Yeah, it’s a joke.”

The fallout highlights the ongoing tensions within the online “manosphere” community — a space often marked by controversy, clashing ideologies and public disputes.

Inside the Manosphere is currently available to stream on Netflix.
