Mother of Beau Lamarre-Condon Charged With Allegedly Interfering in Double Murder Case

The mother of alleged double murderer Beau Lamarre-Condon has been charged with attempting to interfere in the high-profile criminal case over the deaths of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies. NSW Police say Coleen Lamarre, 63, was arrested in Balmain in Sydney’s inner west on Wednesday morning and charged with intending to pervert the course of justice. She was refused bail and is due to appear in court on Thursday.

Police allege Lamarre tried to influence a key witness to change their evidence ahead of her son’s upcoming double murder trial.

Her son, former NSW Police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of domestic violence murder and one count of aggravated break and enter. Prosecutors allege he fatally shot television presenter Jesse Baird and Qantas flight attendant Luke Davies at Baird’s Paddington home in February 2024 using his police-issued firearm, before attempting to conceal the killings. Their bodies were later found in surfboard bags on a rural property in Bungonia, near Goulburn, after an extensive police search.

The case drew national attention not only because of the violent allegations, but because Lamarre-Condon was a serving police officer at the time. He was later dismissed from the NSW Police Force.

Lamarre-Condon, now 30, has been in custody for more than two years, with the matter facing repeated delays, including changes in legal representation. His trial is currently scheduled to begin in September 2026.

The new charge against Coleen Lamarre adds another layer to an already complex and closely watched case as proceedings move towards trial. That final point is an inference based on the fresh charge and the existing trial timetable.
