Queer actor Charlie Besso is attracting attention online after sharing a playful thirst trap taken in front of one of the world’s most famous paintings.
While many social media stars favour beaches, pools, clubs or bedrooms for their revealing photographs, Besso chose the crowded Louvre Museum in Paris as the setting for his latest post.
Standing in front of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the actor lifted his shirt to show off his defined abs while looking dramatically into the distance.
He captioned the photograph “Mogged Mona”, using internet slang to suggest that he had outshone the legendary portrait with his own appearance.
Instagram Fans Call the Photo a “Masterpiece”
The post quickly attracted attention from fans and friends, although reactions varied considerably across social media platforms.
On Instagram, many followers embraced the joke and praised Besso’s confidence.
Some described the photograph as a “masterpiece”, while others responded with playful references to the painting behind him.
“Who’s the diva behind you,” one user wrote.
Another added: “More like Moan a Lisa.”
The crowded setting also became part of the humour, with Besso managing to strike his pose while surrounded by tourists attempting to photograph the historic artwork.

X Users Deliver Harsher Reactions
The response on X was noticeably less enthusiastic.
Some users pointed out that the tourists visible in the background appeared far more interested in the Mona Lisa than in Besso’s pose.
Critics mocked the idea that the actor had overshadowed the artwork when nobody nearby seemed to be looking at him.
“At least she’s hung,” one person commented.
“The way nobody is looking,” another wrote.
A further response said: “No one’s looking at you, though. Seems like Mona mogged you.”
Despite the divided reaction, the photograph succeeded in generating plenty of attention and debate.
Whether viewers considered it bold, funny, embarrassing or genuinely artistic, Besso’s unusual Louvre thirst trap certainly ensured that both he and the Mona Lisa remained firmly in the spotlight.
