Gay adult content creator Riccardo Staudt, known online as Noah Segsy, has died aged 22 after being found unconscious in a swimming pool in Cyprus.
The German creator was pulled from the pool at an apartment complex in Paralimni on the evening of 24 August, with emergency services called at around 9.20pm.
He was rushed by ambulance to Famagusta Hospital, where doctors were unable to save him.
A post-mortem later determined that Staudt died by drowning.
Exactly how he came to be in difficulty in the water remains unclear, and police in Paralimni have continued investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
Investigation Continues
Initial local reports described Staudt only as a 22-year-old German tourist before he was later identified publicly as Noah Segsy.
Reports have noted that the pool was not particularly deep, adding to questions around exactly what happened before he was found unconscious.
Toxicology testing was reportedly carried out as part of the investigation, but no reliable results have been publicly reported.
There is therefore no confirmed evidence that alcohol, drugs or any other substance contributed to his death.
Until investigators provide further information, the circumstances should not be speculated upon.
Family Fundraiser Raises More Than €20,000
Following Staudt’s death, a fundraiser was launched to help his family cover the cost of transporting his body back to Germany and arranging his funeral.
The campaign was organised by a close friend of his mother, Katharina Berk, with Staudt’s grandmother Anita Gensmann listed as beneficiary.
“It is with a heavy heart that I am contacting you because my friend has suffered an unimaginable loss,” the fundraiser says.
“Her beloved son has passed away far too soon.”
The campaign also explains that the family faced significant costs associated with repatriation and funeral arrangements.
More than €20,000 had been raised through hundreds of donations.

Staudt had built an online following under the name Noah Segsy, particularly through adult subscription content and social media.
Reports following his death have described him as having developed a significant audience within the gay community.
While his work made him publicly recognisable, his death at such a young age has also prompted an outpouring of sympathy for the family now arranging to bring him home.
For now, the confirmed facts remain limited.
