OnlyFans creator Jake Andrich has faced a major backlash after telling viewers he does not “particularly” support the LGBTQ+ community, despite having a substantial gay following.
Andrich, better known online as Jakipz, had more than 14 million followers on TikTok before his account was recently banned.
The ban came shortly after clips from the controversial livestream spread online, although TikTok has not publicly confirmed whether the two events are connected.
‘Not In Particular’
During the livestream, Andrich was asked whether he supported the LGBTQ+ community.
“Not in particular,” he replied.
He also questioned whether LGBTQ+ people made up a significant part of his audience.
The comments quickly attracted criticism, particularly because Andrich has built a large following among gay men through his social media and adult-content career.
Fellow creator Timothy Champagne was among those who called him out, saying his own audience is overwhelmingly gay and arguing that creators working in the same space should understand who supports them.
“If you don’t support the LGBT community and you’re in this job, it’s absolutely insane,” Champagne said.
Andrich Says Clip Was Taken Out Of Context
Andrich later responded to the backlash and strongly denied being homophobic.
He said he was not apologising, but wanted to provide more context around the viral footage.
Andrich argued that the clip had been heavily edited and that his actual position is that he judges people as individuals rather than automatically supporting someone because they belong to a particular group.
“I personally don’t care what religion, ethnicity, gender or sexuality someone is,” he said.
He also added: “I enjoy both genders myself, but I wouldn’t expect someone to support me based on what turns me on.”
TikTok Account Banned
Andrich’s TikTok account was subsequently banned.
However, TikTok has not publicly stated what specific rule was broken or whether the ban was connected to the livestream.
That distinction matters because the timing alone does not prove that his LGBTQ+ comments triggered the account removal.
TikTok’s policies allow it to ban accounts for serious or repeated violations of its Community Guidelines, with creators generally notified privately about the reason and given an opportunity to appeal.
Gay Fans Question The Relationship
The controversy has also sparked a wider conversation about creators who profit from large queer audiences while appearing reluctant to offer clear support for LGBTQ+ communities.
For some gay fans, Andrich’s original wording felt dismissive, particularly given the audience that has helped build his profile.
His later explanation suggests he was rejecting the idea of automatically supporting people based on group identity rather than rejecting LGBTQ+ people outright.
Whether that clarification is enough for his audience is another question entirely.
