Alex Consani has returned to the Victoria’s Secret runway for a third consecutive year, serving two dramatic looks and continuing a run that has helped reshape who gets to be seen as a mainstream fashion “Angel”.
Trans supermodel Alex Consani is back on the Victoria’s Secret runway — and this time, she came with wings.
The 23-year-old walked the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles in two standout looks, marking her third consecutive appearance for the lingerie giant.
Her first look paired baby-pink lingerie with a dramatic, voluminous cape that shifted through pink and green tones and trailed behind her as she walked.
For her second appearance, Consani went full Angel in a black lace bodysuit with enormous metallic-gold wings.
Subtle? Absolutely not.
Exactly what a Victoria’s Secret runway calls for? Pretty much.
Three years on the runway
Consani first walked for Victoria’s Secret in 2024, when she and Brazilian model Valentina Sampaio became the first openly transgender women to appear in the brand’s revived fashion show.
She returned in 2025 and was invited back again for 2026, with Victoria’s Secret itself describing her as an Angel returning for her “third year in a row”.
That consistency matters.
A single historic appearance can sometimes be treated as a diversity milestone and then quietly forgotten.
Consani’s continued presence suggests something more permanent: a trans model being treated as part of the core runway conversation rather than a one-off exception.
‘Our angel’
Consani shared photos from the show and backstage on Instagram, where the response from fellow celebrities was enthusiastic.
Victoria’s Secret commented “Our angel”, while Laverne Cox described her as a “superstar”, “supermodel” and “Angel”.
Hailey Bieber simply wrote: “Gagged”, while Rachel Zegler added: “My girlll.”
Honestly, concise reviews all round.
From TikTok to Model of the Year
Consani’s rise has been remarkably fast.
She began modelling as a young teenager, later moving to New York and building a major online following through TikTok alongside her fashion work.
Her high-fashion runway career accelerated after appearing for Tom Ford in 2021, and she has since worked with major designers and brands while becoming one of the most visible trans models in the industry.
Then came one of her biggest milestones.
At the 2024 Fashion Awards, Consani won Model of the Year, becoming the first trans woman to receive the honour.
In her acceptance speech, she acknowledged the trans women who helped create space for her generation of models, including Dominique Jackson, Connie Fleming and Aaron Rose Philip.
It was an important moment not simply because she won, but because one of fashion’s highest-profile honours went to an openly trans woman without her identity being treated as separate from her success.
And now she’s acting too
Consani has also moved beyond fashion this year.
She joined the cast of American Horror Story: 13 as Morwenna, a young witch in the series’ latest return to its Coven mythology.
The role marks her television acting debut and places her alongside returning American Horror Story favourites including Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd and Gabourey Sidibe.
Morwenna has appeared as part of the expanded coven as season 13 brings together new witches and familiar characters from earlier instalments.
So yes: runway, acting, TikTok, red carpets.
There is clearly no interest in staying in one lane.
Why Consani’s visibility matters
Victoria’s Secret has spent recent years trying to rebuild its image following long-standing criticism over narrow beauty standards and a lack of diversity.
The return of its fashion show has included a broader range of models, body types and identities than during the brand’s earlier peak.
Consani’s continued inclusion sits within that wider shift.
For trans audiences, though, her presence carries its own weight.
A trans woman wearing the wings once associated with an extremely narrow vision of femininity is symbolically significant — especially at a time when trans visibility remains politically contested in many countries.
That does not make Victoria’s Secret a perfect measure of progress.
But it does make Consani’s third consecutive walk worth noticing.
She is no longer simply “the trans model who made history”.
She is now a Victoria’s Secret regular.
And apparently, an Angel.
