Pop star Hayley Kiyoko has proposed to her long-time partner, Becca Tilley, in a surprise romantic gesture that took place on a nude beach in Mallorca, Spain—and Becca had absolutely no idea it was coming.
Sharing the big news on Instagram, Hayley posted a series of touching photos from the moment, captioned simply:
“My dream girl said yes to forever.”
One image captures Hayley down on one knee, smiling up at Becca during the unexpected proposal. Becca, who rose to fame on The Bachelor before coming out, looked stunned and emotional in the pictures.
A Love Story Six Years in the Making
The couple first met in 2018 and started dating privately, only going public with their relationship in 2022. Their “soft launch” came via Hayley’s For The Girls music video, which featured Becca in a sweet cameo.
Becca revealed all the behind-the-scenes details of the surprise engagement on her podcast Scrubbing In, calling the moment “so unexpected”.
“I always thought I would be the first to propose,” she shared.
“I went on the trip, I had several friends being like, ‘Are y’all getting engaged? Are you proposing?’ I was like, ‘No, you guys. It’s just a vacation. We go on trips all the time, and I don’t even have a ring or anything, so we’re not getting engaged.’”
“I had absolutely no clue. It wasn’t even a thought in my mind going into the trip. I mean, I was clueless.”
A Secret Plan on a Secluded (and Nude) Beach
Hayley opened up about the difficulty of pulling off the surprise for her partner, calling Becca “a smart cookie” and extremely intuitive.
“Giving her the surprise was the most important thing to me,” Hayley said on the podcast.
She added that Becca had long dreamed of visiting Mallorca during high season, when the weather is perfect, though that also meant the beaches would be crowded.
“My mission was to find turquoise water, a beach with no one around, and I have to somehow figure this out,” she said.
Becca laughed as she recalled that the beautiful beach Hayley had chosen turned out to be a nude beach.
“It was just so funny that these two women are getting engaged and if you panned the camera to the right there’s just penises all over … That was so hilarious.”

Becca said she was “overwhelmed” by the surprise and tried to remain present in the moment. As Hayley began to speak, she was already crying.
“She said amazing things to me … about, like, ‘I’ll keep you safe and I’ll be your safe [place].’”
“Beautiful things that have always made me feel, like, she was my person. Then, she got down on a knee and asked me to marry her, and I said ‘yes.’”
The couple’s fans have flooded social media with congratulations, praising the heartfelt proposal and their enduring relationship.
