John Cena’s Peacemaker is Back — and He’s Bringing Bisexual Mayhem

Peacemaker is finally returning — and it’s bringing bisexual orgies, absurd humour, and more John Cena than ever before. With James Gunn at the helm once again, the highly anticipated second season of the hit DC series has just dropped its wild new trailer.

It’s been a long wait — three and a half years since Peacemaker first premiered — but fans can now prepare for another round of chaotic, boundary-pushing superhero antics in the DC Universe (DCU). Gunn, now overseeing the entire DCU, seems to be having a ball promoting the series alongside Cena.

In one of their promotional videos, Gunn and Cena engage in a hilarious game of “Would You Rather.”

“Alright, you can stop an alien invasion, but you’d have to eliminate one of these,” Gunn teases. “A) an alien intruder disguised as a bald eagle; or B) your Tinder date for the night.”

Cena fires back with typical Peacemaker wit:

“I don’t think he would eliminate a bald eagle, and if he… had to eliminate a Tinder date, he would just go to Grindr and find another date. The great thing about Peacemaker is that all apps are welcome, all the time.”

And if the new trailer is anything to go by, that spirit of inclusion and mischief is alive and well. The footage teases a scene where Peacemaker hosts what can only be described as a bisexual orgy, as the character steps into an alternate world where everything is exactly how he wants it.

Gunn penned all eight episodes of season two, which boasts a star-studded ensemble: Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Robert Patrick, Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez, and Tim Meadows.

The red-band trailer opens with a comedic exchange between Peacemaker and his buddy Adrian Chase, aka Vigilante (played by Freddie Stroma). Adrian walks into a room littered with more than 10 naked bodies and immediately feels left out.

“You don’t even seem that into sex,” Cena quips.

Adrian shoots back: “I’m into sex because, like a lot of people, it’s an opportunity to bond with my best friend.”

From graphic humour to wild adventures and cheeky commentary on sexuality and masculinity, Peacemaker season 2 looks set to be just as unpredictable and hilarious as fans remember.

Catch the new red-band trailer now — and prepare for Peacemaker to return, guns-blazing and Grindr-ready.
