Noah Glenn Carter, a Christian influencer and one of TikTok’s most recognisable faces, is facing viral scrutiny after an explicit photo allegedly showing him surfaced online. But it’s his shifting explanation—not the leak itself—that has left fans raising eyebrows.
With 9.6 million TikTok followers and over 300,000 on Instagram, Carter is known for his pop culture reaction videos and outspoken Christian beliefs. However, this week his usual content took a turn when he addressed an image circulating on Twitter that appeared to show him nude.
“A picture of me has been posted to Twitter… me, you know, doing what people do,” Carter said in a now-viral TikTok.
“I have absolutely no idea on how to get it taken down, so the picture is just up there for anyone to see.”
Fans React — and Dig Deeper
The internet responded swiftly. Some fans were surprisingly supportive—commenting “be proud” and joking about the image—while others began sleuthing, claiming that a full video had also emerged.
Then, just as speculation grew, Carter posted a second TikTok—this time reversing his stance.
“Turns out it’s my face on someone else’s body,” he claimed.
“I was fooled at first because I’ve taken pictures like that of myself in the past.”
He apologised for the confusion and reiterated that he still didn’t know how to remove the image.
Denial Sparks More Doubt
Rather than putting the rumours to rest, Carter’s denial only intensified the debate.
“Who are you trying to fool?” asked one TikTok user.
“It’s him. He’s just firefighting,” wrote another.
Others pointed out that the person in the image appeared to be wearing Carter’s signature necklace, adding to the suspicion. While some speculated that the content could be AI-generated, no source has come forward to confirm or deny its authenticity.
Brand Image Under Pressure
Whether the image is genuine, deepfaked or cleverly edited, the incident has put Carter’s carefully curated online persona under scrutiny. Known for blending pop culture with his Christian faith, he has been described by Yahoo as “the most recognisable face on the internet”.
But this episode highlights how easily that image can unravel when the internet gets involved—and how difficult it can be to regain control of the narrative.
For now, one thing is clear: Noah Glenn Carter’s denial isn’t convincing everyone, and the scandal isn’t going away quietly.
