Alan Carr Steals the Spotlight in The Celebrity Traitors UK

⚠️ Warning: spoilers ahead!

The long-awaited Celebrity Traitors UK has finally landed — and Drag Race judge Alan Carr is already proving to be the breakout star of the season.

With an unapologetically queer cast and the perfect mix of chaos and charm, the new series is serving up all the drama, deceit, and delight fans were hoping for.

A Queer Powerhouse Cast

When the cast list dropped, it was immediately clear this would be a season to remember. Among the star-studded line-up are Alan Carr, Olympic diver Tom Daley, national treasure Stephen Fry, singer Catrina Burns-Temison, and journalist Clare Balding — making it one of the queerest casts in Traitors history.

The format remains deliciously diabolical: contestants live together in a castle, completing challenges while trying to root out the “traitors” — a secret group tasked with “murdering” their fellow players one by one.

Alan Carr: Faithful? Not Quite.

In the very first episode, host Claudia Winkleman revealed that Carr had been chosen as one of the season’s traitors — alongside fellow queer contestant Catrina Burns-Temison and presenter Jonathan Ross.

From that moment on, Alan Carr has been pure television gold. His nervous laughter, wide-eyed panic, and constant giggles have fans completely obsessed.

“When Claudia asked if I wanted to be a faithful or a traitor, I couldn’t stop laughing,” Carr admitted mid-giggle.

As the first “murder” mission approached, viewers watched him break into a sweat, blush, and stammer his way through the castle’s candlelit corridors — a nervous wreck wrapped in sequins and wit.

Fans Can’t Get Enough

Social media lit up after the first two episodes, with fans declaring that Alan Carr is carrying the entire season.

“Alan Carr trying to keep a straight face as a Traitor is the funniest thing on TV this year.”

“Forget the prize money — just give Alan a BAFTA already!”

Carr’s natural charisma and chaotic honesty have cemented him as a fan favourite — even among those he’s secretly plotting against.

With only two episodes aired so far, the audience is already desperate to see what happens next — and whether Alan can keep his cool long enough to survive another round.

One thing’s for sure: this Traitors season belongs to Alan Carr.
