Ike & Jerad look forward to welcoming you to The OPERA—Otago Peninsula Eco Restoration Alliance, a private eco-reserve where you can experience conservation, rehabilitation, restoration, and education in action.

Guests are guided along scenic tracks and trails that connect to purpose-built hides and lookout points, offering opportunities to view native flora and fauna. Wildlife sightings often include penguins, fur seals, forest and seabirds, all set against breathtaking coastal landscapes. You can join one of our 1.5 or 2 .5 hour group tours, or enjoy a private tour experience. Tours include visiting our Penguin Rehabilitation Centre where we care for sick and injured penguins on their journey back to the wild, including the rarest penguin in the world, the hoiho (yellow-eyed penguin).
