Two international names in trance land in Tāmaki Makaurau this October as 303 Events presents Ngā Wāhine o Te Trance, a night putting wāhine at the centre of the dancefloor.
Taking over Darby Street Station on Friday 9 October, the event is led by Italy’s Alessandra Roncone and Australia’s Pinkque, bringing two distinct approaches to high-energy trance together for one Auckland show.
Backing the international headliners are two local wāhine bringing their own weight to the night. Donna-Marie Birt brings years of dancefloor experience spanning the London club circuit and Aotearoa, most recently warming up for Mauro Picotto and appearing at the sold-out London Hard House event. She’s joined by MiLLZY, a regular fixture on teknotitts lineups whose sets sit firmly in the harder, high-energy end of Auckland’s underground scene.
Together, the four artists form a lineup that moves between euphoric melodies, driving rhythms and harder-edged club energy, while putting women front and centre in a genre where the spotlight has not always been shared equally.
For 303 Events, Ngā Wāhine o Te Trance is about more than bringing two international artists to Auckland. It’s a chance to celebrate the wāhine helping shape trance and harder dance music both internationally and here in Aotearoa.
