Halloween came early to Wellington as the boys behind FRISKY hosted a Labour Weekend celebration at El Barrio on Sunday 25 October — and YOUR EX was there to capture the night.
With Monday’s public holiday providing the perfect excuse for a late one, FRISKY Halloween gave the capital’s rainbow community a chance to dress up, catch up and get a little devilish.
Hosted by the FRISKY team — Chris, Caleb and Jimmy Fade — the party put costumes firmly on the agenda, with a mandatory Halloween dress code inviting everyone to unleash their alter ego.
The DJ line-up featured Wellington’s Jimmy Fade, DJ PLAN D from the USA and Christchurch’s DJ Zac, with a musical journey spanning vocal house, tech grooves and driving techno. Running from 10pm until 4am, it was a Halloween outing made for the long weekend.
With FRISKY welcoming queer, genderqueer, trans and non-binary partygoers alongside anyone keen to join the fun, the celebration brought an inclusive spirit to spooky season.
