Big hair, iconic anthems and a full symphony orchestra? Darling, this is our kind of night out! 🪩
YOUR EX is giving one lucky reader and their fabulous plus-one the chance to experience Auckland Philharmonia’s Back to the 80s — a spectacular celebration of the decade that gave us unforgettable pop divas, outrageous fashion and some of the greatest dance-floor hits of all time.
Taking over Auckland’s Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, this nostalgic extravaganza brings together powerhouse vocalists Bella Kalolo, Dillon Rhodes and Maaka Pohatu, backed by the incredible Auckland Philharmonia.
Expect orchestral renditions of Madonna’s Material Girl, Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time, Huey Lewis’s The Power of Love and Robert Palmer’s Addicted to Love, with arrangements by Grammy-winning musician Jeff Tyzik.
Whether you’re a material girl, an ’80s pop obsessive or just love an excuse to get dressed up with your chosen family, this is one night you won’t want to miss!
