Gay Retirement Association is close to winding up as founder Mike Keegan moves on.
Established in 2011 by a group of older members of the community who felt the need for GLBT specific age care.
The association has not been able to establish it’s original goal of creating a GLBT retirement home despite a number of options being explored. Keegan says there is still a real need for support. “A lot of the older gay men need support, particularly those with no families.”
