Farmers is set to introduce gender neutral changing rooms into its stores after Auckland woman Mary Haddock-Staniland’s was the victim of transphobic abuse at their Botany branch in June.
Ms Haddock-Staniland was trying on shorts at the branch when she overheard a shop assistant ask colleagues if it was okay to let “half-man, half-woman” into the women’s changing rooms.
