Call it divine intervention, but Sam Smith has a habit of pulling off the impossible. After his first album In The Lonely Hour was an international critical and commercial success, pundits suggested there was no way his second LP, The Thrill of It All, could be better. Yet Smith crafted a masterpiece that was somehow more-subtle and impactful at the same time. express saw his last NZ concert and thought there is no way he could put on a show this good again. Yet already Smith has announced an intriguing support act: Australian singer Gordi, and with a set list including Not the Only One, Lay Me Down, Omen, Writing’s on the Wall, Latch and Palace; Miracles can happen!
