Michael Meredith Opens Up Mr Morris (pictured)

We’ve been waiting for the day the talented – and extremely gorgeous – Michael Meredith opened another hospitality spot; Meredith’s was one of our all-time Auckland favourites. That day has come as Mr Morris has flung open its doors in the old Cafe Hanoi site with a gorgeous oak fit-out and a food selection that’s divided into snacks, small plates, mains and desserts with a seasonal tasting menu for long Sunday lunches. New In Wellington

Wellingtonians have been spoiled with fun new food and drink venues – an encouraging sign in a worldwide pandemic. Rosie’s Red-Hot Cantina & Taco Joint (pictured) is serving up Baja flavours on Queen’s Wharf, KB Kombucha has set up a Kombucha Bar on Taranaki street and TJ Katsu has a new sister eatery – TJ Poke, a Hawaiian eatery on Featherston Street. Summer eating is looking good in the capital.

Street Kai Award Winner

We were delighted to find out that one of our favourite Auckland food trucks took out the People’s Choice in the recent Food Truck Collective Street Kai awards. Hapunan have a cult-like following and if you taste their Adobo Del Diablo chicken you’ll understand exactly why. Follow them on social media and you’ll be able to track them down at a market near you.
