He Puna Taimoana, New Brighton Hot Pools, hosted this unique Pride party. Closed to the public for ChCh Pride, there were performances from Little Miss Cinnamon and Lacey Susan and MC’d by the divine Miss Joanne Nielson. The night included a blow job competition (blowing up beach balls) and swimsuit contest!
Christchurch Pride board member Jill Stevens tells express she was thrilled with the party and the venue. “It was so good. Such a mixture of people and a really body positive event – no body shaming here! Such an inclusive venue for the community – so great to see this from brand, world class venue for Christchurch.”“There were lots of new faces we’d never seen out before. We feel the increased visibility and exposure of CHCH pride this year has really helped bring more people together,” Stevens told us, confirming, “We definitely intend to bring it back for CHCH Pride next year – we might even do a mid-winter hot pools party!”
