This month, Aotea Square has been transformed into a hub of summer entertainment at Auckland Live Summer in the Square, and it wouldn’t be a party without Pride getting in on the action!
Presented in partnership with Auckland Pride, Pride in the Square is rounding off the month with THE celebration of all celebrations, fusing queer joy with summer, community, and the performing arts.
Some of New Zealand’s finest queer performers will take to the stage at this wildly colourful weekend, from music stars and DJs to waackers and drag artists. The line-up includes the likes of waackers from IHOW_NZ, Miss Geena from House of Drag, and DJ Nic Tims – a previous performer at Big Gay Out – setting the tone for a huge party.

There will also be performances from Valkyrie, Arielwose, Jason Parker and VERCETTI to name a few. Plus, there’s plenty of fun to be had for rainbow families, rangatahi and everyone in between, including documentaries, spoken word poetry, and community chats hosted by none other than Hugo Grrrl.
This outrageously fabulous celebration is FREE in Aotea Square from Fri 24 – Sat 25 Feb.
So, put on your best party ‘fit, celebrate yourself, meet new friends, dance until you can’t feel your feet, and slay late into the night! We’ll see you there.
