Christchurch Pride will open tomorrow Thursday 14 March with their annual Walk of Support, starting at the corner of Cashel and Colombo Streets at 5.10pm.
Christchurch Pride Fest 2024 is kicking things off with the annual Walk for Support on Thursday 14 March. This family-friendly journey through Cashel Mall attracted over 700 supporters and participants in 2023 and is bound to be as popular this year.
Christchurch Pride welcomes anyone from the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, whānau and supporters to join them on the day at 5.10pm at the corner of Cashel and Colombo Streets.
They also encourage businesses, hospitality outlets and residents along this route and throughout the central city to show their support – through window displays, special offers or by allowing staff to attend on the day.
“This is a chance to affirm that Ōtautahi Christchurch is a welcoming and open space for our minority communities,” a spokesperson from Christchurch Pride tells YOUR EX.
