Family Bar Auckland’s main upstairs bar offers drag shows every Friday and Saturday at 1.30am. When you need to chill out on Friday and Saturday nights head out to the back of Saloon Bar to find Secret Garden Bar which opens from 10pm. Once you’re cool enough, head down to Family Bar Auckland’s underground club to dance the night/morning away.
For all you karaoke queens out there, every Thursday in June head down to Family’s Saloon Bar (one of Family Bar Auckland’s four bars) for ‘Sing Like A Star’ a karaoke competition that builds every week to a grand final on Thursday 18 July. Saloon also offers Sunday Club, a fun get-together that’s popular with mature members of Auckland’s gay community that peaks between 4pm and 6pm.
