Plastique Tiara has officially taken the crown as the most-followed queen from the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise, surpassing longtime leader Trixie Mattel in Instagram followers.
As of Monday, June 30, Plastique boasts 4.32 million followers on Instagram, overtaking All Stars 3 winner Trixie, who held the top spot for several years. Trixie is still close behind with just under 4.3 million, but Plastique’s meteoric social media rise has placed her firmly in the No. 1 position.
The Vietnamese-American queen and All Stars 9 contestant has seen a sharp surge in popularity over the past year. In July 2024, she briefly tied with Katya at 2.7 million followers, while Trixie was on a social media break. During that period, Trixie became the first Drag Race alum to surpass the 4-million mark, making digital herstory.
But it wasn’t long before Plastique caught up. By February 2025, she crossed the 3-million threshold, then hit 4 million by April. Now, just days before the end of Pride Month, she’s climbed to the very top of the Drag Race digital leaderboard.
While Trixie remains an icon in her own right — known for her music, cosmetics empire, and TV appearances — Plastique’s massive online growth reflects her continued global appeal and strong engagement across fashion, beauty, and queer culture.
From RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 11 to All Stars 9, Plastique has proven that she’s not just a fan favourite, but a social media powerhouse.
