The British actor, known for his roles in Emmerdale and most recently Netflix’s military drama Boots, has become a hot topic online after fans began rallying for him to take up the mantle of 007. While some previous discussions focused on high-profile names like Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, and Jonathan Bailey, Parker’s name brings a fresh — and more under-the-radar — energy to the table.
A Role That’s Stirring Buzz
In Boots, Parker plays Sgt. Sullivan, a tough and composed soldier navigating the challenges of being a gay man in the 1990s US military, where homosexuality was still banned under the now-repealed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy.
His powerful portrayal of a closeted officer caught between duty and identity has resonated with viewers — and caught the attention of Bond fans who believe Parker could deliver the complex mix of charm, grit, and vulnerability that defines the iconic British spy.
On Threads this week (11 November), one user posted side-by-side images of Parker — one from Boots showing the actor shirtless and in peak physical form, and another more polished headshot.
