Adult Star Drake Von Denies Allegations As Police Report Describes Strangulation Claim

Adult film star Drake Von has claimed that his arrest on domestic battery charges was a “publicity stunt”, but a police report detailing the incident paints a very different picture.

Von, whose legal name is Dawson Bacon, was arrested in Las Vegas on 2 June in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident involving his girlfriend.

The 23-year-old GayVN Award winner now faces charges of first-degree domestic battery, domestic battery by strangulation, and felony coercion constituting domestic violence with threat or use of physical force.

According to a police report obtained by Out, Von’s arrest stemmed from an argument with his girlfriend that allegedly escalated into a physical altercation.

The report alleges that Von grabbed her by the throat, “slammed her on the ground” and strangled her “by applying pressure to her throat restricting her breathing” until she “could not breathe and she felt like she passed out”.

On 4 June, two days after his arrest, Von sent an exclusive statement to Out claiming the incident “was all a publicity stunt” and that all charges against him “will be dropped and [the] case dismissed.”

Police report details alleged altercation

In a taped interview with Detective D. Groberski, the unnamed victim told police that a verbal argument allegedly turned violent after she threw her Louis Vuitton “promise ring” out of the window of a car.

She alleged the disagreement continued after they returned home.

According to the report, when she called a friend to pick her up, Von took her cellphone and refused to return it before allegedly ordering her to “get onto her knees and apologize to him.”

The victim alleged that Von kicked her with his feet before “forcing her to the ground” and strangling her “with such force that she had difficulty breathing”, causing her to temporarily black out.

When she regained consciousness, she “got to her feet and ran out of the residence”, where she waited for a friend to pick her up before calling police.

Police said the victim had a bruise above her right eyebrow, a scratch on her hand and redness on her neck that was “consistent with her allegations of being strangled.”

According to the report, a SWAT team was called to Von’s apartment because an empty firearm magazine was seen on his coffee table when police entered the residence to arrest him.

Von, who has a previous arrest for domestic battery, refused to speak to the police and requested his attorney.

The case remains ongoing.
